Who will get their big break in front of 110 Million people worldwide?

Shortly after 9-11, Morgan, eldest daughter of composer/ songwriter/ record producer Forrest (“Frosty”) Lawson, brought home a drawing from school. It highlighted a candle next to a police officer joined by a search and rescue dog going over debris. Alongside the sketch, she had inscribed the words, “THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD IS GOING OUT. WE NEED TO RELIGHT IT. ARE YOU A MATCHSTICK OR A PITCHER OF WATER?” Quite profound words from such a young mind! The image and the caption induced an artistic trance in Lawson who immediately composed a powerful song of patriotism. This had an even more profound effect on he and his family, since they only live 30 miles from Ground Zero.

“AMERICA- THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD” has been aired on the Fox News Network on
Thanksgiving Day (closing out, “HEROES”, with John Kasich), News 12 New Jersey’s, “NEW
JERSEY’S TALKING”, and WNJN-(New Jersey Channel 8) aired a live performance at the
unveiling of a town hall monument dedicated to WTC victims. A feature on this song and its impact was also taped on the syndicated program on NBC New York’s “EXTRA”. Copies of his CD have been distributed to troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Frosty performs regularly at sporting events and patriotic activities throughout the Tri-State area.

Proceeds from sales of the CD, totaling well over $3,000.00, have been donated to World Trade Center families-AND-military families hailing from his hometown of Valley Center, Kansas. This is the same hometown as Patrick Miller, one of the first POWs captured in Iraqi Freedom.

Says Forrest, “It's important to me that I send out the ‘message’ of this song to as many people as possible-for all the RIGHT reasons. To me, this isn't just a 9/11 song-it's an anthem for anytime we need to stick together and help each other in times of crisis. Sometimes before I sing my song, I tell the crowd, "This song could have been written in 1776, 1861 or 1941. It just happened to be written in 2001. In times of strife, be it war or natural disasters, what the people need in this country more than anything else is each other. That is our greatest natural resource.
