How would you describe yourself to your audience:
Hip-hop master Tru-Ace hails from California but has the rest of the country – and beyond – in his sites. His wicked rhythms, crafty beats and sharp lyrics mark him as an artist who has already mastered his craft and is ready to take it to the next level. Totally hook-laden, fully engaging and brimming with messages for those willing to listen, Tru-Ace’s work is a standout example of the hip-hop genre.

Tru-Ace’s songs are a set of fresh hip hop tracks with style, diversity, and edge. The beats are strong and get you bouncing right away. The music is full of inventive keys, funk guitar lines, and deep electro bass lines. These songs are produced extremely well, and all have a radio friendly aspect to them. The album is made up of high energy creative flows and grooves that pull you in from the get go. The vocals are smooth and quick giving a tightly wrapped performance all around, and the range of styles grows more diverse as the disc goes on. Tru-Ace has the all the right elements you look for in good hip hop. All in all, these tracks are well written, professionally produced, flawlessly performed, creatively tracked songs with power and groove.

About TRU-ACE www.myspace.com/truace1
Tru-Ace

Hip-hop master Tru-Ace hails from California but has the rest of the country – and beyond – in his sites. Tru-Ace's wicked rhythms, crafty beats and sharp lyrics mark him as an artist who has already mastered his craft and is ready to take it to the next level. Totally hook-laden, fully engaging and brimming with messages for those willing to listen, Tru-Ace’s work and performance is both energetic and entertaining--a standout example of the best in the hip-hop genre.

Rush

Music is its own endorphin. It’s an addictive drug with no bad side effects. In fact, it has positive influences for those with open minds. Music might just enlighten you if you let it. And you’ll have fun in the process. That’s the attitude Tru-Ace takes to his craft. “Music is a rush, a roller coaster ride. It connects all your emotions and feelings.” Music, for Tru-Ace, is a focal point, a place of convergence where mind, body and soul unite. The music enters through the body (ears), the music stimulates the soul and the lyrics and compositional structure motivate the mind. Music is a multi-faceted creature. So is Tru-Ace.

Across Boundaries

One of the things Tru-Ace loves about music and a quality he strives for in his own is the ability to touch many and many different kinds of people. “Music soothes the soul and touches all ages and cultures.” Music is a constant. It’s universal to ever culture and compelling beats and smart songwriting can span the globe and touch so many listeners. With the Tru-Ace’s talent and his broad awareness, there’s no reason his music shouldn’t be a hit all over. It’s just a matter of time.

Art

Music is man manifested. That’s the challenge and inspiration of music for Tru-Ace. With music he sees an opportunity to take all those emotions packed into mankind and transform them into an art form for all. “I’m inspired by the challenge of taking simple emotion and feeling and transforming them into a universal art form.”

Ego

Another important aspect of Tru-Ace’s music is ego, or the lack thereof. Tru-Ace has pride in accomplished music, of course, but that’s a bird of a different feather. Too often the hip-hop culture is wounded by out-of-control egos that put off listeners with aggressive pretensions. Not so for Tru-Ace. “I’m not claiming to be anyone other than who I am or from any place other than where I came from – there are already too many pretenders in the game.”

Review

“Tru-Ace’s hip-hop is lacking what it should be lacking and possesses those things which it is necessary to possess. Missing is the tremendous posturing of some hip-hop artists and very much present is talent, skillful beat work and solid lyricism.”
