“ShineHead”

“Shinehead” (aka “2Face”), began his artistic career circa in 1980, via the dancehall sound systems of New York, e.g., “Downbeat”, “African Love”, “Specialist Roots”, “Papa Moke”, “Sir Tommy’s”, “Star Wars”, “Sons Junior Sebastian”, etc..where he paid dues until March of 1988 when he was signed to Elektra Records. Already coming to the majors with a name for himself, not to mention tremendous talent, charisma and statesmanship, he stayed with Elektra until January 1995. In conversing with Shinehead and watching his concert, you get the idea of an articulate, yet “rough-n-rugged”, real-live, charming ragamuffin Peter Pan. His songs and live performances are generously seasoned with high energy, humor, plain old common sense, harsh reality, socio-economic commentary, matters of the heart, positive coaching in self esteem, especially for children & adolescents, tastefully done covers, craftily done twists of familiar tunes and yes his own brilliant originals. Musically, Shinehead’s “boot camp training”, as he likes to call it, stems from a solid dual foundation of Reggae and B’Boyin’, the latter of which is now known as “Hip Hop”. Shinehead also raps and sings rather well, along with his fame as a DJ (chanter/toaster). His music keeps improving with his only downfall being that he is always ahead of his time; stands to reason why he penned Musical Madness. His hits are: “Jamaican in New York”, “Chain Gang”, “Strive”, “Golden Touch”, “Billy Jean”, “Rough and Rugged”, “Who The Cap Fit”, “Try My Love”, “Billy Jean”, “Olivia”, “Collie Weed” and “Promises” (just to name a few). His new music is refreshing and long awaited. Based on his role as “Smiley” in the film “Turn It Up” (featuring “Pras” of the “Fugees” and Def Jam recording artist “Ja Rule”) and a few readings, it is evident that a promising actor lies within. Run!...SHINEHEAD cometh!!
Shinehead is currently in the studio working on his brand new album. He will be releasing a few 7” singles in 2007 on his own independent recording label.

DJ JFX
In Hip-Hop and Reggae (music), the DJ is considered to be the foundation of the culture. As a profession- DJ(ing) is as diverse (if not more*) than any other profession related to music. DJ JFX utilized that philosophy by making his own contribution to the art forms of both Hip Hop and Reggae music. He was introduced to the art form the early 80’s and then relocated from the Chicago area to Southern California (San Diego*) and started out spinning in the local club-circuit as well as began (freelance) writing for several (Hip Hop) publications internationally.. JFX assisted on the “Fantastic 4” (Hip Hop) radio show (Power 106-Los Angeles) coordinating booking of their guests as well as incorporating the booking of reggae artists knowledgeable of the importance of their inclusion into the show’s format. JFX (Program Director) of the “Rootz Revolution Radio” show w/partners "Ms. "Shelly Rootz" and "RudeGal" (of www.RudeGal.Com). JFX is also the Reggae-buyer at "Beats, Vinyl & Life Records" (Anaheim, Ca.) www.BVANDL.Com. He also toured (and DJ) for legendary reggae singer: “Half Pint” performing at San Francisco’s Club Dread (summer 2004). JFX is also a contributor to Southern California’s most comprehensive (reggae) site www.rudegal.com. Released in 2003, JFX produced the (critically-acclaimed) hip hop track “No Love” (released on 12” via “StrongHouse Records”-Los Angeles) featuring his San Diego’s premiere M.C. “Mr. Brady” (*who JFX has DJ’ed for and toured with since 1995). “No Love” is also currently featured on the “StrongHouse 2” compilation hosted by the legendary “Sway” of “The Wake Up Show”. Future projects include the follow-up EP featuring Tate the Great titled: “Time for Hip Hop” the follow-up to his (self-produced) EP titled: “Tate the Great meets JFX”. JFX recently produced the score for (Graf) film “Transit” written & directed by Terence Williams (CinemaThreat Productions- Los Angeles, CA.) released on DVD via "Maverick Entertainment". He also appears in the upcoming film “The Hot Spot” (starring Tate the Great) written, produced & directed by LaRenz, LaMard & LaRon aka The Tate Brothers to be released June 7th, 2005. JFX plans to direct, produce and score his first film “Wheels of Steel” in 2007. He also manages the legendary reggae singer Mr. “Edi Fitzroy” and DJ’s for reggae legend mr. “ShineHead”. In 2004 DJ JFX won the “Los Angeles Rumble” soundclash and defended the title at the “2006 Los Angeles Rumble” soundclash.
